Since we live in a 15-year old apartment building, most of what’s inside every suite is somehow outdated. We have an old bathtub, our bathroom vanity is too small for me, and even our toilet is an old one. And because we can’t change these (in particular), we are left with no choice but to use them. Although they are still very much functional, it would have been nice if the management could at least change the old and small bathroom vanities into modern bathroom vanities. They could sure use some new updates, right?
But I know too well that every tenant can just make their respective suite as homey as it can get. Like in our case, we do want to make it look like a home, but with only a few chairs, some hand-me-down faux leather couch, an old TV on top of a big dresser, it really doesn’t look so homey yet. I may want to furnish our suite, even the bathroom, add some pretty and modern stuff to it, but I just can’t (for the meantime) because my little boy just ruins them. So I end up with the simplest and barest bathroom, just a vanity, bathtub and a toilet.
But pretty soon, when the time comes that we will be able to buy our own house, I will make sure that I have modern bathroom vanities and make that house our real home.
My cousin and best friend is a very good singer. She is a power belter and sings like Mariah Carey and she is also a ukulele player. She started playing the ukulele when she got in the US and ever since, she learned how to play the small guitar. She even posted her videos singing with the ukulele in YouTube. My cousin is so talented and she is really good at it.
