Yesterday, we had no water supply for more than 10 hours. Yes, we woke up with no running water in our faucets, good thing we have a few bottles of water available just enough to wash our morning dishes. We do have four large water containers but the day before, the laundry woman came and washed our week’s laundry and emptied almost all the containers. It was a surprise to wake up with no running water. We haven’t experienced zero water supply for a long time now.
When hubby found out that there was no water, he asked our neighbor (just beside our house) who works at the waterworks here in our town, and was told that one of the main pipes had been hit by a backhoe and has been broken. By mid morning, I told hubby to fetch water from the hospital. In just as little as an hour, he was back with 5 containers of clean water.
A couple of years before, it was really difficult for us to be waiting till everybody is done with all their morning rituals. We would lose our water supply early morning and would only be able to use it at around 8 am. We were so determined to buy one of the goulds pumps available in the city for our own usage so that we won’t have to wait till the water supply is stable. I also told hubby to transfer our main pipe to where there is strong water flowing, and thankfully he did and with that decision, our water supply has been continuously flowing.
Now the water supply is I guess about 90% back to normal. I just hope that everything will be fixed the soonest.
