Back in my home country, when it is 7 in the evening, it is already dark and we have already or are taking our dinner. But when we got here in Canada, 7 in the evening is still bright. The sun is still up and it usually sets way past 7 pm! Here’s the evidence:
This is 7 in the evening! Still bright… just about to turn to dusk. 
I took this photo because I was amazed at the phenomenon. At 7 pm back home, it’s really dark and the crickets are starting to chirp. But here, at 7 pm, we still haven’t eaten our dinner because we are still relying on hubby’s aunt for the dishes to be served to her husband.
Hubby’s aunt said that when it is summer here, even at 9 pm, the sky is still bright and when it’s winter, the nights are longer. Oh my, I think my family and I will have to be prepared for all these phenomenons!
